Information in this document applies to any platform.
When Items with Item Level < Transaction Level are included in the stock count upload file, the Stock Count Upload (stockcountprocess.ksh) batch processes these items without validating them. As a result, the Stock Variance (stkvar) batch does not complete successfully.
As long as this kind of item cannot exist physically in the store, system validation does not allow them to be ordered or received. No validation was foreseen for this case. If the stock count file is generated by a third party system, this system has to ensure that such items are not sent to RMS.
Steps to Recreate:
- Create stock count
- Run stkxpld
- Run stkupd
- Run stockcountupload.ksh. Ensure that stock count upload file has items with Item Level < Tran Level
- Run stockcountprocess.ksh
- Create stock count inventory adjustment - Stock count variance window
- Run stkvar
- Check STAKE_SKU_LOC. Notice that Level 1 item has processed indicator = 'N'
