"Report ended in failure" Error Message When Trying To Execute CRF History Report On RDC 5.1 (Doc ID 2153534.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to run the CRF History Report in RDC Onsite the following error occurs:

Report ended in failure. Please go to the Reports tab to check for a log file. Otherwise, contact your help desk. To regenerate, select the Generate Icon.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Click CRF to Open Data Entry Window
  2. On the Toolbar, click the CRF History report icon
  3. After a few minutes, the icon changes to have an X on top. Clicking the icon again shows the message.
