Job Service Log Files Are Empty (Doc ID 2155754.1)

Symptoms

P6 Application (64-bit – connecting to PPM database, not using SQLLite Database)

When attempting to run a scheduled batch job from job services, the following error occurs.

ERROR
-----------------------
the job indicates successful completion however, the log file is empty (Log to File is checked)

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. In P6, select Tools / Job Services
2. Schedule job to run
3. Select checkbox next to Log to file
4. enter path and file name for log to be created

BUSINESS IMPACT
-----------------------
The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot view the log file results from a scheduled job
