Slow Response When Scheduling or When Adding an Activity or WBS (Doc ID 2156681.1)

Symptoms

These items together cause delays in some operations, as described below:

a) Activities view must be open.
b) The layout for the Activities view Group By must be set to WBS level 2.
c) The Gantt chart must be displayed.

Multiple symptoms may be encountered in P6 Professional:

1.  Adding the first Activity can take minutes.  Subsequent Activity additions are immediate.

2.  Adding the first WBS can take minutes.  Subsequent WBS additions are immediate.

3.  Scheduling the first project can take minutes.  Subsequent Scheduling actions are much faster.
