URL Related Error When Attempting To View and Utilize "Update Status Of Possible Values" for Custom field in Instantis EnterprisTrack

Symptoms

When attempting to View Administration: Manage Status of Possible Values for a mulit-list field by Clicking "Update Status of Possible Values"

ERROR In CHROME and FIREFOX

414 Request URI Too Large
Request-URI Too Large
The requested URL's length exceeds the capacity limit for this server.

ERROR In IE:
-----------------------
Submission failed.
Evaluation exception during submission.
Evaluating response DCT. [engine-id = <>, engine-name = /adminconfig/validate_status, time = <> in expression [valuesStatusHash = SWHash.fromJSON(values_status_json)]

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Access as Administrative user
2. Navigate to Custom Fields, Manage Custom Fields For Idea
3. Click [Edit] for <>
4. in Possible Values. Highlight All, Delete
5. Copy list from Excel
6. Paste list in Possible Values
7. Click Update
8. Click [Edit] for <>
9. Click "Update Status of Possible Values"
10. Receive message:
414 Request URI Too Large
Request-URI Too Large
The requested URL's length exceeds the capacity limit for this server.

NOTE:

After the Admin who performs this function makes the changes, all subsequent Admins that access the UDF receive the same message:
414 Request URI Too Large
Request-URI Too Large
The requested URL's length exceeds the capacity limit for this server.

- This message is duplicated in Firefox, Google Chrome for affected User-Defined fields
- IE receives an Error in submission



Changes

 NOTE:  The "Update Status of Possible Values" for the Custom field, may have worked before an update to the Multi-list "Possible Values" field, which made the code for gathering the "Update Status of Possible Values" too long.  

If the non-production account has not been updated with the values, please see if this account has the issue, if not, the addition of new data is possibly the reason the string is now too long, where it formerly was not.
