Information in this document applies to any platform.
In a VCP 12.1.3 Instance,
After running an unconstrained ASCP plan,
Planned Orders are not getting relieved by Work Orders (that were manually created in the 'Work in Process' (WIP) module on the Source/ERP side).
The plan options are set to Overwrite = Outside Planning Time Fence (PTF) and Planned Orders are firmed.
The specific business requirement is to create work orders manually in WIP. This is preferred over having work orders released from the Planners Workbench (PWB), via planned order release.
After Data Collection and Plan Run, expect the Planned Order quantities to be decremented by the newly created Work Order supply quantity. However, this is not happening.
Users are familiar with MRP/Master Scheduling. In MRP/Master Scheduling, there is MPS Relief and the planned order quantities are decremented by work order supply quantity.
In MRP/Master Scheduling, this functionality works even when the plan options are set to Overwrite = Outside PTF and planned orders are firmed.
Recently moved to ASCP.
How can one match this same functionality in ASCP?
