Problem Creating IP Address Rule: Unable to Search and Associate Use Group and Use Code (Doc ID 2160178.1)

Symptoms

Actual Behavior

Unable to retrieve and associate a Use Group or Use Code when creating a new IP Address Rule. No rows are retrieved after clicking on the spyglass search icon on the IP Address Rules > IP Address Rules Maintenance > IP Rule Criteria tab as depicted in the image below.



Expected Behavior

Need to be able to retrieve and associate a Use Group or Use Code when creating a new IP Address Rule.

Recreation Steps

The problem can be recreated at will using the following steps

1. Inventory Management

2. IP Address Rules

3. Click Add New

4. Enter the required information on the IP Rule Information tab

5. Click on the IP Rule Criteria tab

6. Enter the required information on the IP Rule Criteria tab

7. Click the spyglass search icon for either the Use Group or Use Code fields and note that no rows are retrieved even though active ones exist which can be verified using the steps below.

  (a) Inventory Management

  (b) Click IP Addresses - Internal

  (c) Select Options > Use Groups or Use Codes from the menu 

Business Impact

Due to this issue, IP Address Rules cannot be setup with Use Groups or Use Codes.
