Need/Use Of Rev_tab_columns,rev_tables_b And Other Registration Tables (Doc ID 2162652.1)

Goal

As we know Model upload creates metadata entries within the Registration tables.
1.Wanted to understand the need of these Registration tables?
2.We observed few things regarding these tables.Below mentioned list of tables (24 tables and 620 columns) are available in the rev_tab_columns and rev_tables and also part of ERWIN file but when queried on individual table we get "no table exist" result,why?how?
