DIVArchive Manager Not Respecting Request Priority (Doc ID 2164607.1)

Last updated on JULY 25, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle DIVArchive - Version 7.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

This issue presents itself by the manager not respecting the differences in a request's priority. For example, if there are 10 requests in the queue, and 9 are of priority 10, and 1 of priority 100, and the manager picks up the priority 10 requests before the priority 100 requests. There are also no limitation on the resources for the 100 priority request. Due to this issue, users cannot have their queue managed properly, and lower request items will be finished first.

Keep in mind, that there are other factors that may exhibit this symptom- such as a limitation on resources that prevent the priority from being followed normally.
