Error Creating Supplement History Information for Access Service Request (ASR) Order; java.sql.SQLException: ORA-01403: no data found ORA-06512: at "ASAP.SP_INSERT_ASR_SUPPHISTORY" (Doc ID 2165808.1)

MetaSolv Solution version running with ASR version ASR 52.0.0.b29

An "ORA-01403: no data found" error is received while creating the Supplement History information for an ASR order.  Evidence of the problem is logged in appserverlog.xml file, but not in the ${SERVER_NAME}.mss.log or appserverlog_ASR52.xml files.  Below are images of the errors as well as its text.


Recreation Steps

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

Prerequisites: Enable the System Preferences listed below

 * Service Request > Enter Supplement Notes for Regulated Ordering = 'Y'

 * Service Request > Access Service Request - ASR > Capture ASR Audit and Supplement History = 'Y'

1. Create ASR order and enter all the details.

2. Click Validate.

3. Click 'OK' to the message below

  ASR validated successfully. Would you like to initiate the Audit of this
  ASR order now?

4. Close the order.

5. In the Service Request Search window, select Options > Supplement...

6. Select a SUP type of 4 - Correction on the Admin 2 form and change the RPON field on the Admin 5 form

  *** NOTE: Do NOT change the VER field on the Admin 1 form ***

7. Click Process Supp

8. Enter Supplement History Notes.

9. Click 'OK' on the Supplement History Notes window and the "data-related error" error for "ORA-01403: no data found" is thrown

10. Navigate to the Service Request Search results window and highlight the ASR order that was supplemented

11. Select Options > Show ASR Audit/Supplement History...

  * Note that previous changes on the order display in the ASR Audit history (radio button) window.

  * Note changes post error do NOT display in the ASR Supplement History (radio button) window or the Supp History tab on the Service Request Search results for the order.

Business Impact

Due to this issue, a confusing error is displayed to the user.


Supplement the order and ensure to change/increment the VER field as needed then click Process Supplement.
