After 7.5ps15 Upgrade,LAST_BILL_T Is Not Getting Aligned With The ACTG_LAST_T,when The Bill Is Suppressed (Doc ID 2166111.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 21, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Billing and Revenue Management - Version 7.5.0.15.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Prior to 7.5PS15 upgrade, though the bill was suppressed, the LAST_BILL_T would be aligned with the ACTG_LAST_T. After upgrade to PS15, the LAST_BILL_T is not getting changed until the bill is finalized (not suppressed).

On 7.5PS15 upgrade:
0 PIN_FLD_LAST_BILL_T TSTAMP [0] (1466028000) Thu Jun 16 00:00:00 2016
0 PIN_FLD_NEXT_BILL_T TSTAMP [0] (1470002400) Mon Aug 01 00:00:00 2016
0 PIN_FLD_ACTG_LAST_T TSTAMP [0] (1467324000) Fri Jul 01 00:00:00 2016
0 PIN_FLD_ACTG_NEXT_T TSTAMP [0] (1470002400) Mon Aug 01 00:00:00 2016

The above behavior is incorrect, and expected to be the same as below:

On 7.5PS8 upgrade:
0 PIN_FLD_LAST_BILL_T TSTAMP [0] (1467324000) Fri Jul 01 00:00:00 2016
0 PIN_FLD_NEXT_BILL_T TSTAMP [0] (1470002400) Mon Aug 01 00:00:00 2016
0 PIN_FLD_ACTG_LAST_T TSTAMP [0] (1467324000) Fri Jul 01 00:00:00 2016
0 PIN_FLD_ACTG_NEXT_T TSTAMP [0] (1470002400) Mon Aug 01 00:00:00 2016

On 7.5PS8 LAST_BILL_T is aligned with the ACTG_LAST_T even the bill is suppressed

Reproduction steps:
1. 14 June 2016: Create an account.
2. 01 July 2016: Run billing for this account. Bill would be suppressed. Review Billinfo_t values i.e, PIN_FLD_LAST_BILL_T,PIN_FLD_ACTG_LAST_T

Changes

New implementation was done in 7.5PS15 , according to that PIN_FLD_LAST_BILL_T field is changed only when bill is being finalized.
Previously in case of bill suppression it use to set the field PIN_FLD_LAST_BILL_T to PIN_FLD_END_T.
