P6 EPPM Patch Utility Fails With the Following Error on the Patch Progress Screen: "At Least One Server Has Failed/unreachable: One or More Servers Not Running. Please Check the Logs. Failed Retrieving Application Information From WebLogic server..." (Doc ID 2168027.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to run the Patch Utility to upgrade P6 EPPM, the following error occurs on the patch progress screen:


The patch deployments rollback to the previous state and the following error is logged at the end of the Oracle Inventory oraInstall$TIMESTAMP.out file:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Run the P6 EPPM patch utility.
  2. Attempt to upgrade P6 EPPM deployments using the patch utility.
  3. Note the reported issue which occurs on the patch summary screen.
