Can't Change Item Status from Return to Sale In ReSA for OMS Transactions (Doc ID 2169493.1)

When a transaction is imported to RESA from POS, it can be edited by auditors in RESA to change the item_status from sale to return.

On trying to do the same thing for transactions imported from OMS, the UI throws an error saying "Sales and Other are invalid item status values for OMS processed transactions."

Is this working as designed? If so, what is the business reason behind it?
