MCAD Connector Does Not Show All Cascading Lists Values (Doc ID 2170808.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 06, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Agile PLM MCAD Connector - Version 3.5.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

In SolidWorks MCAD connector 3.5.0 version when setting the value of a cascading list attribute, only one value is presented in the pull down list.

Expected behavior :
More than one value should be presented.

Steps to reproduce:
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. In Agile PLM Java Client, configure a Page Two attribute linked to a cascading list that has more than one branch of values (at least 2 levels). Do the same on Parts and Designs classes.
  2. Open the Create dialog in MCAD connector, try to set the value of these attributes. Note that only one value is presented in the pull down list.
  3. Create a part in CAD.
  4. Open the Save Preview, double click the CAD file to open the details pane.
  5. Create an Item.
  6. Try to set the value of the cascading list attributes. Same behavior as in the Create dialog.

Impact :
Item Part Category is linked to a cascading list and used in privilege criteria. If no set when creating Items from MCAD, then users will be missing all privileges based on the Part Category.
