Symptoms

In the Store Inventory Management (SIM) application, we find that after running the CloseTransferDeliveries batch, the in transit quantity is not updated correctly.

Steps to Reproduce:

  Prerequisite: Ensure that 'AUTO_CLOSE_RECEIPT' Store Parameter is set to '0' for both stores A and B

  1. Ensure that  STORE_ITEM_STOCK for item_id 'xxxx'  is as follows (for example)
      QUANTITY_TOTAL = '100' at Store A and '0' at Store B
      QUANTITY_IN_TRANSIT = '0' at both stores

  2. Log in to Store A, Shipping / Receiving -> Transfer Shipment -> Create

  3. Destination Type 'Store' and Destination Store B

  4. Add item 'xxxx' and enter the quantity as '10'

  5. Confirm and Dispatch the container

  6. Query STORE_ITEM_STOCK database table for item_id 'xxxx';
      QUANTITY_TOTAL = '90' at Store A and '0' at Store B
      QUANTITY_IN_TRANSIT = '0' at Store A and '10' at Store B

  7. Run "CloseTransferDeliveries.sh" batch

  8. Query SIM database table STORE_ITEM_STOCK for item_id 'xxxx'  and find the following:
      QUANTITY_TOTAL = '100' at Store A and '0' at Store B
      QUANTITY_IN_TRANSIT = '0' at Store A and '10' at Store B
