ReceiptCre Message Sent from SIM is Updating the RMS Shipment Table With Receipt Number as NULL (Doc ID 2171902.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 19, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management - Version 15.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Store Inventory Management (SIM) application, we find that after receiving a Direct Store Delivery (DSD), SIM sends a ReceiptCre message to Retail Merchandising System (RMS). However, when the message is consumed by RMS, the receipt number in the RMS database table SHIPMENT.EXT_REF_NO is updated as null.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create a purchase order in RMS (e.g., item: 100150057 // Qty: 100)
  2. Receive the purchase order in SIM (Qty: 50)
  3. Note the ReceiptCre message sent from RMS:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<ReceiptDeo>
  <id>122</id>
  <receiptDocuments>
     <documentId>1602</documentId>
     <documentType>P</documentType>
     <fromLocationId>2200</fromLocationId>
     <lineItems>
        <itemId>100150057</itemId>
        <unitQty>50.0000</unitQty>
        <useUnavailable>false</useUnavailable>
        <cartonId>SIM102</cartonId>
        <dispositionCode>ATS</dispositionCode>
        <receiptDate>2016-05-31T21:11:56-05:00</receiptDate>
        <receiptNbr>122</receiptNbr>
     </lineItems>
     <storeId>1111</storeId>
     <txnType>R</txnType>
  </receiptDocuments>
  <sourceLocType>2</sourceLocType>
</ReceiptDeo>

  4. Check the RMS SHIPMENT table and note that the EXT_REF_NO_IN column was updated with NULL value.
