Last updated on MARCH 08, 2017
Applies to:Oracle Global Order Promising - Version 220.127.116.11 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
They use Allocated ATP, but this item does not have any allocation assignments.
They see ATP is not netting the on hand of the item before creating planned order - therefore it is creating planned order for the full quantity required.
- they have no other sales orders demand for the item and the component in the test they conducted.
Standard ATO item
Support could not reproduce the issue internally with standard FG or ATO FG
ATP always used the on hand before creating the planned order for the remaining required quantity to satisfy the SO demand.
Have on hand of FG (e.g. 200) and comp (e.g. 300) for ATO item
Create sales order for QTY > FG on hand - e.g. 250
See ATP results in ATP plan show planned order for full 250 instead of just 50
Internally it just creates the planned order for remaining qty - e.g. 50 in this example.
create planned order for only remaining qty required
uses up on hand of component that is not required and could be used for another FG ATO item that needs to be produced.
- Note the comp of ATO item is used in many different FG items.
