Java Error When Querying for EWO Orders Containing IN% in the Work Order Number

Java Error when Querying for EWO with WORK Order Number starting with string 'IN'

For example: querying for EWO IND160203003 we get the error below:


The server encountered the following Exception: java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException:
ORA-00904: "D160203003": invalid identifier at
oracle.jdbc.driver.T4CTTIoer.processError( at
oracle.jdbc.driver.T4CTTIoer.processError( at
oracle.jdbc.driver.T4C8Oall.processError( at
oracle.jdbc.driver.T4CTTIfun.receive( at
oracle.jdbc.driver.T4CTTIfun.doRPC( at
oracle.jdbc.driver.T4C8Oall.doOALL( at

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

  1. In Inventory Mgmt - Engineering Work Order
  2. In the Work Order Number box, enter: IN<any chars>  like in  IN18237492
  3. The problem happens


User cannot search directly the order number and needs to use a workaround.

This issue affects all current MSS versions, since 6.0.15 including the current 621.b1131.
