Symptoms

An event removed by the owner in their agenda is not deleted from the agenda of the guests or resource.

To reproduce this problem, the following conditions must be met:

Below, there are two scenarios to replicate this problem:

SCENARIO 1 (user inactivated before the event is created)

a) Participants: userA -organizer, userB is regular calendar user, userC is a calendar user but had icstatus=inactive and blank davUniqueId before the test, roomD is a resource
b) userA creates an event and invites userB, userC and roomD
c) userA deletes the event
d) event still present in userB and roomD calendars

SCENARIO2 (user inactivated after the event was created)

a) Participants: userA -organizer, userB is regular calendar user, userC regular calendar user, roomD is a resource
b) userA creates an event and invites userB, userC and roomD
c) userC ldap is modified as follows: icstatus=inactive and blank davUniqueId
d) userA modifies the event date after userC was inactivated
e) userA deletes the event
f) event still present in userB and roomD calendars

The following log entry can be found in Calendar Server errors.0 log on all scenarios detailed above:

Changes

The following LDAP changes are needed for one of the invitees, in order to replicate this issue:

This can be done before the event is created (Scenario1) or after the event is created (Scenario2).
