When processing Oracle Retail Point of Service (ORPOS) transactions, Store Inventory Management (SIM) does not insert the transaction data and does not print any message in the log file when an old record in POS_TRANSACTION table has the same external ID (POS transaction ID). This makes it very hard to troubleshoot missing transactions in SIM.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Process an ORPOS transaction with an old record in POS_TRANSACTION table with the same transaction ID (external ID).
2. Observe that the SIM log file will not print any information about this transaction.
