Error Starting Task On MDT due to Missing Child Element named sortSequence

Symptoms
Users are getting a pop-up error when selecting the "Complete" button after going enroute on any order. Pressing the "Start" button displays a red error message "An error occurred during script execution." Clicking OK, brings the user back to the enroute screen. The same thing happens if we select "Start" after going to the "Arrived" screen.
In the log files there is an error regarding the Remark Types:
