MSS Throwing Error Message when Un-assigning TN's in a PSR Orders

Symptoms

PROBLEM STATEMENT

Issue with un-assigning TN's after upgrade to 621.b1039.

After the upgrade to MSS 621.b1039, if you try to unassign a Telephone Number on a customer's service order (SR), users are experiencing the following:

MSS will not let you do it and is throwing the error message below.

This is an issue that we need to get resolved ASAP. It's happening in UAT and Production, and was not an issue before we upgraded to 621.b1039.

Tested with Ported Telephone Number (Created) and it does not have the issue.

ERROR MESSAGE

Error un-assigning telephone number NPA-NXX-NNNN
Please contact support.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Create a PSR order for a TN product
2. Assign TN, normally - TN show as New in the order

  ===> TN status change to Pending

3. Before completing the order, Un-assign the TN - getting error message:

    Error unassigning telephone number NPA-NXX-NNNN // Please contact support.

5. Trying to assign above TN in another PSR order

  ===> MSS will not allow b/c the number is in Pending state.

BUSINESS IMPACT

User are unable to quickly fix orders if a mistake is made or the customer decides to change a TN on an open order.

Also, it prevents us from using the number on future orders.

WORKAROUNDS

 a. while in the error window - Delete the TN service item from the order
 
 b. while the order is not task assigned - Redo the search for the
    assigned TN, using status <None> and then Search;
    >>  MSS will allow Un-Assign (left arrow) and clear the unwanted TN
 
 c. after tasks are assigned to the order and in provisioning mode
     - Supp Correct to change TN
