'AllowSourceToRepeat' Attribute in PricingExtract XML (Doc ID 2177392.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 06, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Price Management - Version 14.1.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

The attribute 'AllowSourceToRepeat' in the PricingExtract xml is responsible for designating the connector that is used between lists in Retail Price Management (RPM):  False = AND, True = OR.

On the other hand, the description in the documentation for the Oracle Retail Point of Service Implementation Guide (ORPOS) on page 103 - states the following:

"The buy list (or "X") and the reward list (or "Y") can be the same items. The Multi-Buy Cycles Indicator and Allow Repeating Sources Indicator are two separate entities:

– Allow Repeating Sources Indicator - specifies that the same item cannot be used to qualify the buy list (N of X). For example, if you buy two pairs of jeans, and get a sweater for free, the jeans purchased must be different items. Oracle Retail Price Management promotions always have an Allow Repeating Sources Indicator set to Y"

How can we define a multi-buy promotion in RPM with different lists (example: list1 and list2), use AND connector, and allow the customer to buy [3 x item1] from list1 and [3 x item4] from list2 and be eligible for a discount?
We tested the exported files from RPM and for this scenario and the discount does not apply.
