Excess Planned Order Created When Plan Is Run On Non-Working Day With Multiple Non-Working Days in Succession (Doc ID 2177786.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 25, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning - Version 12.1.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Suppose an item X in ORG 1 has on-hand of 1 and there is Sales Order of qty 1
with due date 16th-June. ORG 2 is the org in which owns the plan. ORG 2
manufacturing calendar has holidays on 14th,15th and 16th June whereas ORG 1
manufacturing calendar has none and ORG 1 is working for whole week

Considering above scenario suppose we run the plan today i.e 14th June.

Case 1 : If plan is unconstrained plan, excess planned is created for 17th June.
Case 2: If plan is EDD constrained plan, excess planned order is created at
end of planning horizon.

So issue is creation of excess planned order supply in both cases in ORG 1.

However if we change above scenario, where holiday is only for 14th June in ORG 2
and rest all things remain same and we run the plan, we get expected output (i.e no planned order is created).

Excess Planned Order should not be created when the On Hand fulfills the demand
