Last updated on APRIL 02, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Healthcare Master Person Index - Version 3.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On : 3.0.0 version, Master Index Main Component

When an existent record is updated to match another record, no warning is thrown.

However, when a new record is added, a warning is thrown if it is a Potential Duplicate.

for example:

Potential Duplicate warning should be thrown for record Edit, not only for Add.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Note the First Name, Last name, DOB and Gender for an existing record.

2. Open another record and select 'Edit EUID'. In the Source, change the First Name, Last name, DOB and Gender to match the record in Step 1. Update and Save. The changes save and are applied to the main EUID. But there is no warning that this is now a duplicate.

3. In Source Record, select Add and add a new record with the same First Name, Last name, DOB and Gender as the record in Step 1. Save. A msg displays that this has resulted in 2 potential duplicates. The 2 duplicates are the records from Step 1 and Step 2.
