BSP Calculate Fails with Java Error 'GetTreeFilterTreeRollup(double, short&, double&)' (Doc ID 2180412.1)

Symptoms

In Oracle Financial Services Balance Sheet Planning (BSP) 8.0.x, you get the following error in the BSPCalculation_UnpricedAcc_udf.log from $EPM_ORACLE_HOME/logs/bsplog when running a Calculate:

As a result of this error, the cash flow engine aborts with a return status of 134.

Checking the ofsrm.BSP_TASK1_200482_20150930.log, the last SQL statement in the file is a select from the instrument table.
