OPA interview session fails to load when session data contains CDATA and reaches a certain length

Customer have noticed certain interview sessions failing to resume in ODS when they contain:
-text values (e.g. trailing spaces) that caused them to be wrapped around CDATA sections,
-carriage return characters, and
- the total length of the session data xml reaches a certain length.

And Suspect that this is related to a bug in the SJSXP library that OPA uses for XML parsing (https://java.net/jira/browse/SJSXP-73?jql=project%20%3D%20SJSXP%20AND%20resolution%20%3D%20Unresolved%20ORDER%20BY%20priority%20DESC).
