RDF: UpdateFnhbiRdf Ends With Return Code 2 and Log Contains Warnings: 'invalid partitioning of dimension' (Doc ID 2183086.1)

Oracle Retail Demand Forecasting - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

We have a few source levels that are on alternate dimensions of the product hierarchy. It is recommended to run UpdateFnhbiRdf, for which the description in the RDF implementation guide is as below:

UpdateFnhbiRdf is required after Generate is run if an alternate hierarchy dimension from the Product hierarchy is used as a dimension in a forecast level.

It performs the following functionality:
Checks that certain measures are cleanly partitioned
Copies corresponding cells (based on the partition) from each sub-domain to the master domain
Runs automatically with the Run Batch wizard

After ensuring that the FNHBI (Forced non-Higher Based Intersections) measures are cleanly partitioned, UpdateFnhbiRdf copies corresponding cells (based on the partition dimension) from each sub-domain into the master domain.

We have one SKU that is being carried in different departments (with different SKU number) and in different local domains.  Both the SKUs have the same style group, which is an alternate dimension.  When running update fnhbi, the log shows the below warning and has an exit code of 2.

What are our options:

  1. Ignore exit code 2 and consider the job as completed
  2. Skip update fnhbi altogether
