End Item Substitute Forecast Is Not Consumed By Sales Orders As Expected (Doc ID 2183203.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 19, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning - Version 12.2.4 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On 12.2.4 Memory Based Planner in All Instances:

Users setup the following reciprocal End Item Substitution (EIS) relationship in the Source EBS instance

They have forecast on both items, however they only create sales orders on the latest revision ItemRevB.  They run data collections and a constrained ASCP plan with Decision Rules enabled for End Item Substitution (you cannot use EIS in unconstrained plans).  They only see forecast consumption for sales orders against ItemRevB even when the ASCP plan changes the sales order line to use ItemRevA.  Why didn't forecast for ItemRevA get consumed when the ASCP plan switched the sales order line to this same item?
