XITEM API Overwrites 'create_datetime' Field When a Supplier Update Message Is Sent (Doc ID 2184938.1)

Last updated on MARCH 11, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising System - Version 14.1.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Whenever a ISUP_UPD message is sent thru the XITEM API, the column ITEM_SUPPLIER.CREATE_DATETIME gets overwritten with the current timestamp. This behavior is expected only for the LAST_UPDATE_DATETIME column.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create an item with one supplier.
  2. Check the CREATE_DATETIME value for this item/supplier in the ITEM_SUPPLIER table.
  3. Update this ITEM_SUPPLIER record thru the XITEM API with an "ISUP_UPD" message.
  4. Check the CREATE_DATETIME value for this item/supplier again.  The CREATE_DATETIME value has changed.  It has been replaced by the current timestamp, same as the LAST_UPDATE_DATETIME field.
