Scenario: When navigating through Bill search UI and searching a bill with option "seq Bill number", no results are found.
In Database Table, CI_BILL, it shows the seq Bill number as 'Alt_Bill_Id'.
1) Bill is searched using BILL ID. Result shows up for a valid id. Here the alt_bill_ID (Bill Number) also gets displayed.
2) Now do the search for the same bill using 'Bill Number' ("seq Bill number" in UI). It shows no result.
This is for RMB v18.104.22.168 against FW 22.214.171.124.0.
Basically user is unable to search Bill on 'Bill Search' UI based on Alternate Bill Id.
If you execute the query in debug mode on the Bill Search UI, you will see that it is trying to match the 'Seq Bill number' with BILL_ID.
Following BugDB ticket addressed similar 'no search result' behavior for not matching the length:
Bug 19522394 : ALT_BILL_ID AND BILL_ID FIELDS DIFFER IN LENGTH.
This article confirms if the behavior is a configuration related issue or a defect in RMB v126.96.36.199.
