Last updated on MARCH 05, 2019

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 4.3.0 and later
Oracle Communications Convergent Charging Controller - Version 6.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

In all versions of Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control (OCNCC or NCC) and Oracle Communication Convergent Charging Controller (OC3C), Xtreme Message Service (XMS) can be configured to invoke Control Plans (CPs) to provide additional service logic (such as billing) to Short Message Service (SMS) messages.

Depending on how the Control Plan is triggered, some of the SMS/XMS specific fields may not be available in the Control Plan.

This article will explain how to configure XMS services to trigger Advanced Control Services (ACS) CPs through the Charging Control Services (CCS) Service Loader (/IN/service_packages/CCS/lib/ in order to have the XMS/SMS Profile Tags available and usable with the full suite of CCS functionality.  In contrast, the required configuration for the XMS Service Loader will also be explained.
