Within Information Manager, when Information Manager authors are reviewing technical articles and either publishing them with updates or unpublishing due to their irrelevance, they will find these different options for publishing the article.
While republishing some Information Manager documents, there are three publishing options in document Properties box.
1) Publish This Version
2) Publish All Versions In This Locale
3) Publish All Versions in All Locales
What is the difference in the publishing options?
The "Publish This Version" option will try to publish the currently displayed version.
The "Publish All Versions In This Locale" will attempt to publish the currently displayed version and any other more current versions of the document with a defined display date in the future. These future document versions will be in a Pending publish state.
The "Publish All Versions in All Locales" will try and publish the latest version in all locales.
Remember you can only have one published version of a document at a time in each locale.
Also, the Display On date will control if the document is pending for publish or actually published. There is no way to force users to enter a Display On date.
