Goal

In a windows environment, often times you can run into issues specifying a file or file path with special characters or spaces in it.

For example: C:\Program Files (x86)\<filename> in a configuration file, connection string, executable document, or an environment variable such as the PATH variable.

To correct this, a DOS short name should be used to eliminate special characters while maintaining the address of the directory.

How do you tell the DOS short name for the path you need?
