Last updated on MARCH 12, 2021
Applies to:
Oracle Communications Messaging Server - Version 8.0.1 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Experiencing as many as 40 tcp_smtp_server cores within 12 hours on two new systems.
Two of our four new backend stores logged over 40 tcp_smtp_server cores, each, with very little number of users and mostly idle.
The impact of so many cores will eventually result in filling up disk space and bringing down the server.
Changes
Enable libumem on MS dispatcher process in order to capture the necessary data to see memory corruption. See KM doc: 1383299.1
