Goal
This document explains how to upgrade from P6 on an Oracle XE 32-bit database to version 15.1 and later on a new SQLite Standalone Database. 32-bit Oracle XE 10g is not compatible with the 64-bit versions of P6 Professional release 15.1 and later. In addition, Oracle XE (any 32-bit or 64-bit version) is not officially supported with P6 Professional releases 18 and later. For further details see the Tested Configurations document for the desired P6 release version:
- Browse to the Primavera P6 Professional product documentation page.
- Select the desired release version.
- Navigate to Planning, Installing, and Upgrading on the left.
- Click the link under What configurations work for an on-premises server deployment?
- Review the Client section.
Oracle Support will continue to support P6 if it's used with an untested 64-bit Oracle XE database platform, however if an issue is encountered in such an environment and we're able to trace the cause to the use of that non-tested configuration, we may request changing the affected environment to comply with this document as a resolution. Oracle recommends testing unsupported configurations in a development environment before implementing them in a production environment.
Oracle XE is not supported with multi-user P6 Professional installations or with the P6 Enterprise (EPPM) product.
