Running reprocess ALWAYs requires that you reprocess all the data from that date forward to the current date, in the order of the data. You cannot process week 3 and then week 2. You must process week 1 then 2 then 3 and so on. The reprocess package in both releases deletes some of the analtyics data so that it can be reprocessed correctly. This assumes that ALL data will be reprocessed. If you need to process only one week of old data then please open a SR with Oracle support to get the correct steps to process that week.
In 8.5.1, PKG-ORACLE_REPROCESS deletes data from the AGG_WEEK and AGG_MONTH tables.
When we run PKG-ORACLE_KNOWLEDGE_MAIN, AGG_WEEK and AGG_MONTH data that was cleared after Reprocess package was run is not restored again for the respective week and month.
eg: If we run reprocess on the 4th of a month, AGG_WEEK and AGG_MONTH data for this month and week onward are deleted. When we run the Main package, calculation for AGG_MONTH is done with data starting from 4th. Similarly with AGG_WEEK. As a result inaccurate records could be displayed for weekly and monthly reports.
In this case the full reprocess package is not run.
