IM10 & IM9 Front End To Back End Unable To See User Presence (Doc ID 2191209.1)

Symptoms

IM 10u1-00.18 (10.0.1.0.0) & IM 9u2-07.2 (9.0.2.7.0)

imhost03 is latest IM10 front-end
imhost01 is latest IM10 back-end
imhost02 is IM9up7 front-end/back-end

When going through IM 10 front end - we cannot see users presence on IM 9 server.

IM10 & IM9 clients can't see each others presence
