Rehostuser Command With -x, -e Options And Single Copy? (Doc ID 2193086.1)

Oracle Communications Messaging Server - Version 8.0.0 and later

Using:  Messaging Server version

We use the rehostuser command with the following options to move a few users (-x, -e):

-e Specifies extended availability of user's mailbox during move - In this mode, Messaging Server performs a full backup and a remote restore without locking the user out of the system. Once the full backup and restore are complete, the user is locked out and Messaging Server performs an incremental backup and restore to take care of any changes that occurred since the start time of the full backup.

-x Moves the expunged message files.

We then enabled relinker and saw the following:

Q1:  How can it be that it saved 0.5GB from a user who has only 1GB, and the number of unique messages is 31k, but he only has 16.9k messages?  Is it because of rehostuser -x (ie. imsbackup -x | ssh ... | imsrestore) of the expunged messages waiting to be cleaned up (we have store.cleanupage=21 days) does not obey single-copy?

Q2:  We also noticed that the before/after info about the above partition later shows the digests were reduced by stored.  Is this purely a coincidence that it was cleaned out while the relinker command was running? Or did the relinker command do that? Is it supposed to?
