"getDeviceBranchFailed" Error When Attempting to Open Right-Click Context Menu on Non-Electrical Device in NMS Viewer

On : version, NMS Viewer

When right-clicking on a non-electrical object (such as a pole) in the viewer, instead of the context menu appearing, this error appears:

"There was an internal error: getDeviceBranchFailed {2}"

And this error appears in the console log:

2016-10-12 08:25:44,250 [pool-2-thread-13] ERROR
  at com.sun.proxy.$Proxy13.getDeviceBranch(Unknown Source)

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Start a viewer.
2. Search for any pole ( POLE-194134 )
3. Right click on it.
4. Observe the error
