Last updated on MARCH 08, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications MetaSolv Solution - Version 6.2.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

CURRENT BEHAVIOR

The application is allowing users to complete Pending tasks and also completing their predecessors, including the DLRD and DD tasks.

When the user try to complete task in pending status MSS is allowing completing task instead of throwing a message.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

MSS should flag the operation and open dialog with user on the completion: if user says Yes, then check if predecessor tasks are auto-completable.

STEPS

The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:

  1. Open the Work Queue Manager window
  2. Select any task that is Pending (yellow) status
  3. MSS is allowing the completion of the task, without opening a dialog on the operation.

BUSINESS IMPACT

This is really bad operations wise, incurring in heavy overhead to correct the behavior.
