Claim Digger, Baseline, or XML Import/Export Tools Using LDAP Authentication Fails With Error "Invalid Username or Password", Even After All LDAP Configuration Settings Have Been Confirmed

Information in this document applies to any platform.
When attempting to access an Internal API tool (i.e. Claim Digger/Schedule Analyzer, Maintain Baselines, XML export/import) when the P6 application is configured to use LDAP authentication, the following error occurs.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Login to P6 Professional
2. Click Tools > Claim Digger from the menu
3. User is prompted to provide login credentials
4. Attempt to login
5. Error is displayed
Due to this issue, users cannot access Internal API tools in P6 Professional using LDAP authentication.
