Connection IS Being Discarded After a Timeout While Reading Data From Buffer (Doc ID 2200618.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 29, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Communications ASAP - Version 7.2.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

JNEP is receiving an exception as

'>> 113853.542:Connection handler <UNIX_HOST_NAME>-46995-Reader Thread:LOW :com.mslv.activation.jinterpreter.TelnetConnection$ReaderThread: Discard'

while parsing the response and connection is discarding after the timeout.

This indicates that the data in the buffer is being discarded by the reader in TelnetConnection.  This could explain why the code continually polls the buffer for data until it times out and the connection is dropped.

What could cause the data being read in to be discarded?
