Unable To Perform BOM Redlines Due To Object Has Been Modified By Another User Exception (Doc ID 2207046.1)

Symptoms

On : 9.3.3.0 version, Web client (CS)

Unable to perform BOM redlines

Error
Object has been modified by another user exception


Steps
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1. Login to Java Client in admin user and set Smartrule : Object Edit Conflicts : Disallow
  2. Login to web client
  3. Create new part : P00019
  4. On P00019 BOM tab add following part

    P00020
    P00021
    P00022

  5. Create ECO : C000030 for P00019
  6. Go to Affected Items tab
  7. Go to BOM tab

    P00020 -----> change to P00019
    P00021
    P00022 -----> change to P00023

  8. Save
  9. Error * P00019
    Adding Part P00019 to itself will result in recursive BOM and it is not allowed. Please resolve this issue.
  10. Close
  11. Redline P00020 to P00024 (change P00019 to P00024)

    P00020 -----> change to P00024
    P00021
    P00022 -----> P00023
  12. Error

    This object has been modified by another user. Copy and save your edits so you can reapply them. Select Cancel to cancel your changes and refresh the object.
