SIM Allows Entry of Fractional Values in Received/Shipping Qty Fields for Items With UOM "PCS" (Pieces) (Doc ID 2207331.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 28, 2016

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Store Inventory Management - Version 14.0.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

In Oracle Store Inventory Management (SIM) 14.0.2, the system allows users to provide fractional values in the shipped quantity column when a store to store transfer is created in SIM and if any normal item with UOM 'PCS' (pieces) is being added.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Select a Stock Keeping Unit (SKU) which has Unit of Measure (UOM) as Each (EA) / Pieces (PCS)  in Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS) and SIM, and ensure it is ranged.
2. In SIM, log in to the store where the item is ranged.
3. Create a transfer for the item selected above and enter a fractional value.
4. Dispatch the transfer.

Expected: the SIM application should not allow entry of fractional value transfers for items with such UOMs.
Actual: SIM allows creation of the shipments and receives such items in fractions.
