Error: "SQLite Database Failed to Upgrade" When Attempting to Upgrade Primavera P6 Professional Client From 16.1 to 16.2

Symptoms

When attempting to upgrade a SQLite database from version 16.1 to 16.2, the following error occurs:

ERROR

SQLite database failed to upgrade

STEPS

  1. Log into P6 16.2 while connecting to a 16.1 database
  2. Click exit when the message explaining the database is the wrong version occurs.
  3. Click to upgrade the DB to 16.2 when prompted.
  4. Observe the error.

BUSINESS IMPACT

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, the user cannot log into P6 Professional.
