DynamicMetadataRepository Intermittently Fails To Start Up (Doc ID 2209387.1)

Last updated on APRIL 04, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Commerce Platform - Version 11.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When starting up servers some of application server instances are randomly getting crashes with the following Exception. The startup failure is due to the ProductCatalog repository failing to initialize. Once this happens one has to restart server instances multiple times until eventually it works.

The repository is trying to generate a new subscriber ID every time the server starts up. It results in the above failure at random times. The subscriber table is also growing with each regeneration of the subscriber ID.
