Keyword Redirects Match Exact Does Not Support Multiples of Words In A Phrase
Last updated on JULY 27, 2017
Applies to:Oracle Commerce Guided Search / Oracle Commerce Experience Manager - Version 11.2 to 11.2 [Release 11.x]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
On an Oracle Commerce 11.2 application, keyword redirects configured to 'match exact' do not support multiples of a single word in a phrase.
For example, the keyword redirect for a brand: "abc and abc" will not redirects with Match Exact.
In applications upgraded from earlier versions of Oracle Commerce to 11.2, this may cause migrated keyword redirect entries that contain similar terms to cease normal behavior.
Some examples of phrases that do not work with Match Exact but do with with Match Phrase
· abc and abc
· abc def abc
· abc def def
· abc abc def
· abc abc def def
· abc def abc def
· ab cd ef gh ab
· ABC DEF GHI ABC
This causes problems on the frontend. If someone searches for "abc and abc bag", it will redirect. This is not the intended behavior when using Match Exact.
An application was recently upgraded from an older version to Oracle Commerce Endeca Guided Search 11.2.0.
Alternatively, a new keyword redirect with two or more similar terms has been created on an Oracle Commerce 11.2 application.
