Symptoms

In Oracle Financial Services Asset Liability Management (ALM) 8.0, in Process Tuning, when you increase the "Number of Processes" to a value greater than 1, the Static Deterministic ALM Process fails with the following errors in the ofsrm.xxxxxxx.log from $FIC_DB_HOME/log/FusionApps:

Module Logging OFS errors: semctl failed, errno = 22, file ipcmutex.cpp, line 286

Module Logging OFS calculation module data: Child exited with return status 1, Child Status 0

Module Logging OFS errors: (905002) Child died with signal 5.

Module Logging OFS errors: (905001) Child dumped core.

Depending on operating system, you may get the following errors instead:

Module Logging OFS errors: (905002) Child died with signal 6.

Module Logging OFS errors: (905001) Child dumped core.

The messages are repeated multiple times.

If you change the "Number of Processes" to 1 in Process Tuning, the ALM Process runs successfully.  However, you expect the ALM process to run successfully with "Number of Processes" > 1.
