Memory Does Not Get Released by the PM.exe Process (Doc ID 2214508.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 16, 2020

Applies to:

Primavera P6 Enterprise Project Portfolio Management - Version and later
Primavera P6 Professional Project Management - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

When a user is working in P6 Professional, memory is allocated by the PM.exe process but is never released.  For one example (among others): when opening projects, memory is consumed by the PM.exe process; however after the user closes the opened projects, the allocated memory is not released.

This occurs with both the 32bit and 64bit version of P6 Professional.
